A police spokesman said on Monday that AC unit in the shop of a barber caught the fire

reportedly due to a leakage of gas four days back on Dijkot Road near

old Central Jail.

As a result, five people, including Usman Liaqat, Hussain Anwar, Ali Anwar, Raza Arshad

and Asim Aqeel received burn injuries and were shifted to a hospital where they died

amid receiving intensive care treatment.

The bodies were handed over to the families for burial after completing

formalities, he added.
